This week, from Monday 18th-Sunday April 24, 2022, the duo will engage in social dialogue on Instagram about their revolutionary approach and journey that led to ditching the fashion calendar.
While many of Fashion's big players follow the traditional fashion calendar, Sherman | Preston does not. After years of designing and curating based on the fashion calendar, the brand constantly competed with established brands for recognition and positioning in publications and industry events. Unfortunately, editors and buyers repeatedly ignored or declined the possibility of entertaining an up-and-coming brand like Sherman | Preston for brands/labels with more recognition.

That repetitive motion of competing for positioning forced the duo to rethink its business model and revert all attention to consumers and their buying habits. Instead of following the so-called industry leaders and influencers, the brand began to communicate with consumers directly.
"We found solitude in curating in the moment and offering products to consumers directly instead of fighting with other brands vying for positions based on following the fashion calendar and traditions. We are on the people's calendar," – says Sherman & Preston.
