Monolith Forensics launches version 2.0 of its digital forensics case management software
CEDAR PARK, Texas - PRDelivery -- Monolith Forensics, a digital forensics technology developer, has released version 2.0 of its Monolith case, evidence & analysis management platform. The new version includes a redesigned user interface that helps investigators streamline their workflow and improve the productivity of their digital forensics' lab.
"Our first priority is to provide investigators with tools that will help them conduct investigations more efficiently," said Matt Danner, Founder & President of Monolith Forensics. "To that end, we implemented several features that will save time and make it easier to track and manage evidence as well as lab resources."
One of the major new features in Monolith 2.0 is digital signatures for evidence. This enables investigators to accept digital signatures for each part of the chain of custody process. The signature details include timestamps as well as the signer's name, providing an easy-to-understand chain of custody record that can be exported for court presentation.

In addition, Monolith 2.0 features new task management functionality to help digital forensics labs better manage their workload and resources. Users can assign tasks, notify investigators assigned to those tasks via email, and track time spent working on a particular case or evidence item all within the Monolith platform. This gives investigators control over their workflow so they can better manage resources and improve the overall productivity of their lab.
